Cuban Head of Mission takes part in central activity on the occasion of the 173rd anniversary of the Independence of Liberia.

Monrovia, July 27, 2020 - Maintaining strict protocol and without violating the necessary measures of distancing by the Covid-19, the central activity on the occasion of the "Day of Independence" of Liberia took place today in Monrovia, capital of the African country.

Representing Cuba in this activity was the Chargé d'Affaires Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera who received from high officials of presidential protocol thanks for messages of congratulations from the Cuban president and foreign minister to their Liberian counterparts.

On July 26, 1847, Liberia's independence was declared, making it the first independent country in Africa.
