Cuban Minister of Education meets with Cuban doctors in Zimbabwe.
The Cuban Minister of Education, Dr. Ena Elsa Velázquez Cobiella, met today with a representation of Cuban collaborators in Zimbabwe,
In her chat with a group of health workers, the Cuban minister learned about the characteristics of medical collaboration in the African country and the different specialties that make up the group.
The minister also talked extensively about the steps taken in education in Cuba and the close relationship between the health sector and the education sector.
Dr. Ena Elsa Velázquez is visiting Zimbabwe to participate in the Third International Education Conference, in which she will deliver a lecture a dissertation on education in Cuba and the importance of research in that field.
During the meeting the minister was accompanied by Dr. Silvia Navarro, director of the Central Institute of Pedagogical Research of Cuba, as well as by the Cuban ambassador to Zimbabwe Elio Savón Oliva.
