During the visit of Cuban poet Alex Pausides to India to participate in the International Conference on relations between Latin America and India, the poet visited the Jawaharlal Nehru University and the University of Delhi, where he held friendly exchanges with students of the two main educational centers of the country on the movement of literature and poetry in Cuba, as well as issues on the current situation of the island.
Pausides also visited the headquarters of the International Chamber of the Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and the Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT), located in the city of Noida, in the state of Uttar Pradesh. During his stay he held a meeting with students of this institution on Cuban cinema.
In a meeting with Indian writers, members of the Association of Democratic Writers, the Cuban poet highlighted the work of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) and evaluated possibilities of exchange and cooperation between the two institutions.
