Cuban President and Foreign Minister send congratulatory message to the Republic of Liberia on "Independence Day".

Monrovia, July 26, 2021.- President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez; and Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez congratulated their respective Liberian counterparts on the occasion of the 174th anniversary of the Proclamation of Independence of this West African nation.

Díaz-Canel extended warm congratulations to Liberian President George Manneh Weah.

The Cuban Foreign Affairs Minister sent a similar message to Liberian Foreign Minister Dee Maxwell Saah Kemayah on the occasion of the national holiday of this nation.

On July 26, 1847, Liberia's independence was proclaimed, an event that turned the country into the first independent nation in Africa.
