Cuban President sends congratulations on the 40th anniversary of the independence of Saint Kitts and Nevis.
Basseterre, September 19, 2023: The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, sent congratulatory messages to the Governor General of this Federation, H.E.D. Marcella Liburd and the Prime Minister, Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, on the occasion of the 40th Anniversary of the independence of this Caribbean nation.
The letter sent by the Cuban president conveyed cordial congratulations on behalf of his people and government to the people and government of Saint Kitts and Nevis, while ratifying the willingness to continue expanding the cooperative relations that unite them.
For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, also sent a message of congratulations to his counterpart, Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas. The occasion was propitious to reiterate the desire to continue consolidating the historic ties that unite both nations.
Likewise, a delegation headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba, Jorge Luis Perdomo Di-Lella, traveled to Basseterre to participate in the official celebrations for such an important event.
