Cuban residents in Australia establish a cultural association to promote Cuban inheritances and roots

Canberra, 26 May, 2020.- As a result of the union of wills of a group of Cuban citizens residing in Australia, the support of Cuban institutions and the accompaniment of the Cuban Embassy, ​​the Cultural Association of Cuban Heritage was founded in Australia.

It is a non-profit organization, legally established in the Australian state of New South Wales, under the Incorporation of Associations Law, and which was previously registered with the Cuban Ministry of Justice, as a subsidiary of the Yoruba Cultural Association  of Cuba.  Among its main objectives, the association highlights the interest in preserving the Cuban culture in Australia for the knowledge of future generations, as well as promoting events in the this country and neighbouring New Zealand, which will express and identify with the authentic diversity of the Cuban cultural expressions.

 Expectations are high around the newly founded organization, which is committed to expanding efforts to spread Cuban identity in the southern nation, as well as seek exchanges between institutions in both countries, and equip Cuban residents, including dancers, musicians and  painters, a space for meeting, promotion and artistic creation.
