Accra, May 14, 2023- Celebrations for Mothers' Day were felt in all the regions where the Cuban State Mission in Ghana has a presence.
In the town of Accra, the activity was held at the Cuban Embassy in the African country, where poems were read in homage to those who give life and unconditional love to the new generations: Mothers.
Eduardo Hormachea, surgeon of the Cuban Medical Brigade delighted those present with the poem of our José Martí:
Mother of the soul, dear mother,
It’s your celebration, I want to sing;
Because my soul is filled with love,
Although very young, it never forgets
Of the one who gave me life.
The years go by, the hours fly by
That I don't feel like leaving your side,
For your rapturous caresses
And the looks so seductive
That make my chest beat strong.
To God I constantly ask
For my parents immortal life;
For it is very pleasing, on my forehead
To feel the touch of a burning kiss
That from another mouth is never the same.
In the Volta region, the doctors there organised a lunch for the women, with Dr. Idael Cabrera Morales being in charge of the central words at the celebration.
