Riyadh, January 1st - At night on Saturday, December 31st, the members of the Cuban State Mission residing in the Saudi capital met at the Ambassador's Residence to say goodbye to the year 2022 and welcome 2023, and in this way also celebrate the 64th anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution.
During the activity, the officials of the Cuban Embassy were accompanied by several health collaborators, members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Saudi Arabia, such as the Ambassadors of Uruguay, Vietnam and Kenya, as well as the Chargé d' Affaires a.i. from Venezuela, and some Saudi friends.
At twelve o'clock at night, the notes of our glorious national anthem were heard and then Ambassador Vladimir Gonzalez addressed a brief speech to all those present, thanking them for their presence at the evening.
The Ambassador pointed out that 2022 was a very difficult year in Cuba, during which we had to face great challenges and difficulties of a different nature. However, with the will, optimism and enthusiasm that characterizes us, we prepare ourselves to face the new defies ahead and always with the faith in victory.
At the end of the Ambassador's speech, those present toasted by the occasion, wishing each other health, well-being and happiness for the new year that is beginning, and then a family photo was taken. (EmbaCuba Arabia Saudita)
