Cuban Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs begins work visit to Trinidad and Tobago.

Port of Spain, June 5th – The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Rogelio Sierra Díaz, arrives today to this brother country, Trinidad and Tobago for a work visit. The Cuban diplomat will be accompanied by the director of Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean Division of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Jorge Luis Mayo Fernández.

The Deputy Minister will develop a programme that includes meeting with its Trinidadian counterpart Mrs. Jennifer Daniel, with Senator and Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs of the Caribbean country, Dennis Moses; the Minister of Trade and Industry, Paula Gopee-Scoon; among other meetings with personalities of the Trinidadian society.

It is important to highlight that during his visit to the Caribbean nation, Sierra Díaz has scheduled a meeting with the Secretary General of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), Dr. June Soomer, that will allow to reiterate the commitment of Cuba with the good development of the organization, review the status of the commitments and responsibilities of the largest of the Antilles within the ACS; as well as knowing first-hand the state of the revitalization process carried out by the organization with the support of its members.
