Cuban-Vicentine girl wins Literary Award with essay dedicated to the Henry Reeve Medical Brigade.

Kingstown, 8th July. With her literary work entitled "The Cuban Medical Brigade should receive the Nobel Peace Prize, the Cuban-Vicentine girl Isabella Sam Nodarse won First Place in the Essay Contest organised annually by the Foreign Ministry of this sister Caribbean nation.

The winning entry traces the genesis and work of the Cuban Medical Brigade "Henry Reeve", highlighting the noble purposes and excellent results achieved by the health contingent in various parts of the world. The award was presented by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Keissal Melissa Peters.

Last January, the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, headed by Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves, made the nomination of the Cuban Medical Brigade "Henry Reeve" for the Nobel Peace Prize official before the Norwegian Committee.
