Roseau, Dominica, May 19, 2019. The 124th anniversary of the fall in combat of the Cuban National Hero, José Julián Marti Pérez, was commemorated by Cubans who are serving a mission in Dominica in two events held at the headquarters of the brigades of collaboration, on May 18, 2019, the eve of that anniversary of the history of Cuba.
The Builders Brigade that carries out the reconstruction of the country in social works and in the houses of Dominicans after the scourge of Hurricane Maria, performed its act in the morning hours and with the presence of all those who make up this group. The builder Miguel Galan took the floor.
For its part, the ceremony held by the members of the health brigade was held in the afternoon and was attended by the two officials of the Embassy and cuban health professionals who live in the capital of Dominica. Dr. Idelmys Alarcon and Ambassador Ulises Arranz spoke at the meeting.
The speakers highlighted the exemplary and fruitful life of Marti, who was for all cubans, an important political, ideological, intellectual and diplomatic policy, who has served as a guide for generations of cubans who succeeded him, who conquered and who today defend the freedom and sovereignty of Cuba.
