Beirut, July 31, 2018.- The Cuban Embassy in Lebanon hosted the celebration in this country of the 65th anniversary of the assault to the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks.
The event was attended by members of the Cuban community living in Lebanon, as well as Palestinians and Lebanese graduates of Cuban universities and members of the diplomatic mission.
The ocassion was also used to say goodbye to Mohamed Alhaj Ali, Elissa Jamal Eddine and Mohamed Kassem Hung, who received scholarships from the Cuban government to study medicine in Cuba.
The Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Cuba, Raúl E. Madrigal Cárdenas, highlighted the profound significance of the date for the Cuban people, since it synthesizes the values of rebellion, sacrifice and independence that characterize the Cuban people.
