THE BAHAMAS, December 9th, 2016. -The Director of the Department of Consular Affairs and Cuban Residents Abroadof the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Ernesto Soberón Guzmán, held a meeting at the Embassy of Cuba in The Bahamas with a group of Cubans residents in the Caribbean country.
During the meeting, also attended by other officials from MINREX and the Division of Identification, Immigration and Aliens, the Cuban diplomat offered an update on Cuban immigration policy and the facilities provided for Cuban nationals residing abroad. He also clarified existing concerns about consular procedures and urged Cubans resident to join even more as a community.
Also, the Director thanked the attendees for the expressions of pain and admiration offered by many Cubans after the passing of Fidel and extended the gratitude to all who signed the book of condolences. Likewise, he referred to the expressions of respect to the leader of the Cuban Revolution by the Cuban communities in various parts of the world.
On 8th and 9th December Cuba and The Bahamas held in Nassau the IV Round of Technical Talks on Migrationbetween.
