Cuban residents, together with members of the medical brigade in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, took part in the central event, organized by the Cuban Embassy in the sister Caribbean nation, in homage to the 93rd anniversary of the birth of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro and the 59th anniversary of the founding of the Federation of Cuban Women ( FMC).
The concert, loaded of virtuosity, cubanism and patriotism, included the Danzón "Sarah" and a bouquet of traditional music, masterfully performed by Cuban pianist Zhaily Sariol Varela; performances by vocalists Arianna Taylor and Alfredo Percy Ballart, with piano and violin accompaniment by Zhaily Sariol and Samuel Toka, respectively, as well as the declamation of Jesús Orta Ruiz' poem "Marcha Triunfal del Ejército Rebelde" (Triumphal March of the Rebel Army) by Ms. Neuricel Fonseca Sánchez, member of the Cuban Medical Brigade.
At the end of the concert, the songs "Guantanamera" and "Cuba, que Linda es Cuba" (Cuba, how beautiful is Cuba) took over the auditorium that chanted, standing, the lyrics of the two Cuban compositions.
