Belize City, August 28, 2024.- As part of the agenda of the Cuban delegation to the IV Round of Belize-Cuba Migration Talks, Cuban residents in this sister country held an interesting exchange with the ambassador, Ana Teresita González Fraga, director general of Consular Affairs and Attention to Cubans Residing Abroad.
Interesting topics of the current national situation of our country were addressed, the effect of the U.S. blockade on its socio-economic development and its impact on the Cuban population.
Aspects related to citizenship and emigration laws, consular issues and the possibilities of investment in local projects were deepened.
Those present expressed their opinions and clarified their doubts about various aspects of personal and collective interest.
This meeting was an expression of the strengthening of ties between the Caribbean nation and its emigration.
Also present were Cuban Ambassador María Caridad Balaguer Labrada, Consul Gustavo Aguinaga Linares, members of the Cuban delegation to the migration talks and Dr. María del Carmen Lozada Concepción, head of the BMC in Belize. (EmbacubaBelize).
