A cultural presentation about Cuba is held in Malick Secondary School of Port of Spain.

Port of Spain, 16 May.- More than a hundred young Trinidadians of Malick Secondary School of the homonymous neighborhood of the capital of the country, participated in a cultural presentation dedicated to Cuba. The exercise is part of the efforts of the Ministry of Education of Trinidad and Tobago to stimulate the learning of the Spanish language and promote the knowledge of Latin American cultures in this Caribbean island. It also represents one more step in the intense and fruitful collaboration program developed by the Embassy of Cuba and the Ministry of Education trinitarian.

For over an hour the Trinidadians students exchanged with the First Secretary of the Embassy about the history and the most important manifestations of the rich Cuban culture, which addressed aspects of dance, musical rhythms, cooking, sports and Cuban idiosyncrasy. Through interactive and participatory games Trinidadians students learned a little more about the largest of the Antilles, about who was José Martí and his contribution to Latin American literature and the independence of his Motherland, and why the Cuban Revolution took place in 1959 and its results in social development over the past 55 years.

Several young people expressed interest in deepening knowledge about the neighboring Caribbean island, which promised to do through learning the Spanish language and reading texts as the "Golden Age".
