Delegation of the Cyprus Peace Council participates in May Day celebrations in Cuba.

The President of the Cyprus Peace Council, Tassos Costea, together with other members of the group participated in the celebrations for May 1st in Cuba in the massive act that took place in the anti-imperialist tribune "José Martí" in Havana, headed by the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution General of the Army, Raul Castro and the President and Secretary General of the Communist Party of Cuba, Miguel Diaz Canel.

Tassos Costea, is part of the International Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba and Anti-imperialism that is taking place in Havana from April 30 to May 2, and has participated in various activities in which they have exchanged with friends of solidarity from all over the world, in particular with the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples. These have been days to experience the reality of a people who have been facing for more than 63 years an unjust, criminal and genocidal blockade imposed by the United States government.

In the words of the President of the Cyprus Peace Council "... it was an amazing experience... a life experience. So many people from so many countries all over the world expressed their solidarity with Cuba and this year with the Palestinian people. We are impressed with the young people who came to Havana and especially the Americans from California, NY, Oklahoma and other states as the movement Black life matters".
