Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba pays tribute to the victims of terrorism.

Georgetown, June 13, 2018. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Rogelio Sierra Díaz, placed a wreath of flowers on the monument to the Victims of Terrorism located on the campus of the University of Guyana in this capital city, in memory of the 73 people, including 11 Guyanese, 5 North Korean and 57 Cuban, who lost their lives as a result of the criminal sabotage perpetrated on October 6, 1976, against Flight 455 of Cubana de Aviación  

The Cuban Vice-Chancellor was accompanied at the solemn ceremony by the Minister of Social Cohesion of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, George Norton, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Guyana, Prof. Ivelaw Lloyd Griffith, and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of this high school, Barbara G. Reynolds, among others.  On the Cuban side, the Director of Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Jorge Luis Mayo Fernández, and the Cuban Ambassador, Narciso Reinaldo Amador Socorro, participated.
