The Consul General of Cuba in Montreal, Susana Malmierca, visited the University of New Brunswick (UNB), the oldest English-speaking university in Canada, founded in 1785. With more than 230 years of experience, this center has 14 faculties and more than 10 thousand students.
During the visit, the Cuban diplomat held meetings with David Magee, Vice-President for Research; John Kershaw, Academic Assistant to the Vice-President and Dominic Blakely, Academic Advisor, in which she received information on this higher education center's work in the field of research, and the existing potential for academic exchange with our country was highlighted.
In this context, the International Congress on Higher Education Universidad 2024 was promoted in order to continue strengthening academic relations with Cuba.
