Dublin, Ireland, November 6, 2022. The directive of the Association of Cubans Resident in Ireland and the embassy collective in this country celebrated yesterday the new and resounding victory of the international community against the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba. The draft resolution was approved by the 77th General Assembly of the United Nations with 158 votes, 2 votes against and 2 abstentions and demands that the US put an end to its cruel and unjustified US policy.
Gathered at the residence of the Cuban Ambassador in this city, as part of the preparations for the XVI Regional Meeting of Cuban Residents, to be held between November 18 and 20, in the city of Berlin, Germany, the participants took advantage of the occasion to celebrate the victory and reiterate its rejection of the blockade. They also expressed their gratitude to the people and government of Ireland for their support Cuba in this noble cause.
Likewise, they highlighted the importance of strengthening the Association of Cuban Residents in Ireland with a greater presence of Cuban residents who live here and wish to maintain ties with their homeland, defend their sovereignty, integrity, their history and national symbols.
