Director General of the Spanish Foundation Women for Africa visiting Nigeria

Abuja, March 6, 2024.- The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Nigeria, Miriam Morales Palmero, participated in the reception held at the Spain Embassy to the Director General of the Spanish Foundation Women for Africa, Dr. Teresa Langle, during his stay in Nigeria.

The Women for Africa Foundation is a private non-profit entity created in 2012 by María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, former vice president of the Government of Spain, whose main objective is to contribute to the development of the African continent through support and accompaniment to its women, which constitute its great engine of progress.

Women for Africa is committed to and works for democracy, governance, peace, human rights and sustainable economic and social development. And all this in the key of equality, since they consider that equality is the most powerful factor of social transformation.

They are a reference entity at the national and international level in the effort to promote fair, inclusive and equitable development in Africa, in which women are free and have full citizenship status. For this reason, they work on their own programs and through strategic alliances or collaborations with other organizations that share this objective, always having the contribution of social value and innovation as a key element.

Women from Nigerian political life, ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Nigeria were present at the meeting.
