Namibia, March 4th, 2022- Ambassador Jerobeam Shaanika, General Director of Multilateral Affairs and Cooperation of the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation of Namibia, today received Sidenio Acosta, Ambassador of Cuba in that African country.
In the fraternal meeting, Ambassador Shaanika reaffirmed Namibia's condemnation of the United States' economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.
Both diplomats exchanged on current international issues.
Similarly, Ambassador Acosta updated the Namibian director on the epidemiological situation in Cuba. He also referred to the effects caused to the Cuban population by the US blockade, reinforced with 243 measures by the Donald Trump government, which the current administration maintains in force.
The Cuban diplomat also thanked Namibia for its historical support to Cuba, in its fight against this hostile US policy.
