UNITED KINGDOM, 8 March 2017.- On 2 March the Cuban Ambassador visited the Oxford Brookes University where she was received by the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Alistair Fitt. Dr. Fitt explained to the Ambassador the wide profile of studies of the prestigious institution, which is part of the university system of the city of Oxford.
Oxford Brookes was founded in 1865 and started its educational activity as a School of Art. Then the technological specialties were added to become an inclusive Research Centre of all specialties of technology, social sciences, arts, architecture, medical sciences and others. Currently there are students from around 100 countries, which makes it an important centre of cultural exchange.
The Cuban Ambassador participated in the presentation of the documentary entitled Unfinished Spaces, which is about the construction and history of the Higher Institute of Arts (ISA, by its Spanish initials)of Havana. (Embacuba United Kingdom)
