The Hague, January 17, 2020. The Cuban Mission in the Kingdom of the Netherlands hosted this afternoon a group of students and professors from the Medical School of Leiden University (LUMC), who visited Cuba last October as part of the Global Health Cuba program, which is held in our country every year. 

During their visit to the Embassy the students shared the results of their research in Cuba. A variety of topics including: attention to the mother and the child, natural and traditional medicine, as well as topics related to addictions and sexual education that were part of their investigations. 

It was a timely occasion to share some figure that illustrate the achievements of Cuba in the Health Care System as of year-end 2019, despite the negative repercussions on Health sector caused by the inhumane Blockade imposed by the United States of America, that as cumulative of losses in the Health Sector, reached the figure of $ 2 913 000 772 USD.

During the visit information of interest was shared with the youth including the Cuba Solidarity Brigades organized by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the peoples.
