The Embassy of Cuba in Malaysia participates in the Spanish world book celebration of the Universiti Malaya

The Spanish World Book Day Celebration was held this Friday, May 12, at the University Malaya

Kuala Lumpur (May, 12, 2023)- The Spanish World Book Day Celebration was held this Friday, May 12, at the University Malaya, with the presence of the ambassadors of Cuba, Spain, Argentina and Uruguay in Malaysia and representatives for the Embassies of Chile, Mexico and Venezuela.
During the celebration, an exchange of books was carried out between the students and teachers of the Spanish language of the institution and the participating embassies that represented the Spanish-speaking countries.
The Cuban Embassy in Malaysia contributed to this exchange with the books "En el Camino de la Mar, o Nosotros, los cubanos", " Órbita de Raúl Roa" and the book of photographs "La tierra más hermosa".
In addition, excerpts of texts by various Latin American and Spanish authors were read and Spanish students from University Malaya recited poems by authors in Spanish.
The poem Yo soy un hombre sincero, one of the "Versos Sencillos" of our apostle José Martí, was recited by the second-year student Muhammad Farid Hafizi bin Mohd Nashir.
The University of Malaya, in Malay, Universiti Malaya, is the largest and oldest university in Malaysia. It's Faculty of Languages ​​and Linguistics offers a Bachelor of Spanish Language and Linguistics that give students opportunities to enhance the proficiency in the language while gaining knowledge and awareness of the richness and diversity of Hispanic cultures.
