The Hague, 30 July 2018. The Embassy of Cuba in the Netherlands celebrated the 65th anniversary of the assaults to the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes Barracks on Thursday July 26.
In the central speech of the emotional ceremony, Third Secretary Katia Aruca Chaple underlines the bravery and courage of the young people who attacked the barracks led by Fidel Castro and whatit represented for the revolutionary process not to let Marti's ideas die in the year of the centennary of his birthday. Later on, a short video with the recreation of the events that day was shown.
The celebration was attended by diplomats from the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Cuban residentss in the Netherlands, and members of the delegation from the Minsitry of Health (MINSAP) of Cuba who are taking part in the VIH-AIDS Congress in the city of Amsterdam and members of the Statre mission.
The celebration was livened up with Cuban music and a exquisite menu of Cuban traditional cuisine.
