Ernesto Che Guevara is paid tribute to in Toronto

In Toronto, in a simple but moving activity, Ernesto Che Guevara was paid tribute to, 56 years after his assassination. The activity was organized by the Toronto Forum on Cuba solidarity group.

Among the special moments was the virtual lecture by renowned intellectual                 Dr. Helen Yaffe, who led the debate on the thought and action of the heroic guerrilla fighter in multiple aspects of his revolutionary life.

In his speech, the Consul General, Jorge Yanier Castellanos, highlighted the legacy and relevance of Ché, the need to continue fighting for just causes as he did and, especially, to keep on being committed to those who need us most. He was particularly grateful for the expressions of esteem and solidarity toward Cuba.
