On November 12, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Yanet Stable Cárdenas and Olga Dalmau González, Consul of Cuba in Barbados, held an interesting exchange with students from several Caribbean countries studying Political and Social Sciences at the University of the West Indies (UWI).
At the request of the professor of this subject, Dr. Hugo Renderos, our Ambassador Yanet Stable gave a lecture to the students about the behavior of the phenomenon of emigration, not only in our country, but as a universal phenomenon that historically occurs in the society of practically all the countries of the world.
This academic activity made it possible to make known to the students of this class the reality that our people are currently living as a consequence of the iron and genocidal blockade that has been imposed on us for more than 6 decades.
The students were grateful for the teaching exercise with the presence of the representatives of the Cuban Embassy in Barbados as guests and were motivated to investigate and learn even more about our country, our political and social system and our culture in order to broaden the debate in possible future academic meetings.
