Toronto, May 17th.- The Cuban film "Ya no es Antes", directed by the renowned director Lester Hamlet, was presented on Wednesday, May 16 at the University of Toronto, in the context of a Forum Film organized by the Hispanic Canadian Heritage Council.
In her words of presentation of the play, the general consul of Cuba in this city, Tania Lopez Larroque thanked the organizers of the event and all those who made possible the presentation of the film in Canada. She also highlighted the laureates achieved by this piece of the Cuban filmography, including that of Best Actress and Best Actor at the Havana Film Festival in New York (2017) and Latin American Cinema Festival in Havana (2016), respectively. The audience was captivated by the way in which the actors convey an exquisite combination of feelings and flavours that characterize human nature, and in particular those associated with the experiences of migrants. To conclude, the actor Luis Alberto García managed to establish an excellent connection when talking with the audience.
The event was also attended by members of the Latin American Consular Corps accredited to this city, associations of solidarity with Cuba, as well as Cubans living in Toronto and Canadian friends.
