First Deputy Foreign Minister of Liberia visits Cuban Embassy in the African country.

Monday, January 31, 2022 - The Honorable Henry Fahnbulleh, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Liberia, visited the headquarters of the Cuban Ambassy to that West African country, where he was received by the Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera, with whom he had a fraternal exchange.

During the meeting, the Cuban diplomat referred to current issues in her country, among them the blockade, the behavior of COVID, and the high level of immunization achieved with national vaccines. She also stressed the interest and willingness of the Cuban government to consolidate bilateral relations.

The Liberian deputy foreign minister stressed the importance of continuing to strengthen ties between the two countries and expressed his recognition of the Cuban health system.

For her part, the Cuban diplomat thanked the distinguished representative of the Liberian Foreign Ministry for his visit. Likewise, she assured that her presence at the Embassy was an unequivocal expression of the good state of diplomatic relations between both nations. He reiterated the willingness of the Cuban government to maintain collaborative ties for the benefit of both peoples.
