Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif welcomed Cuban ambassador Vladimir Gonzalez Quesada, as part of his farewell after completing four years of mission in Tehran.
Firstly, the ambassador conveys to Zarif the sincere congratulations on behalf of his Cuban counterpart, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, for his recent appointment and ratification as Foreign Minister in the new government of President Hassan Rohaní, for his second term.
The Cuban diplomat also briefed the most important events that took place during the last four years in the context of bilateral relations, which contributed to its consolidation. Besides, he thanked the cooperation received from the Iranian authorities in order to carry out his work during this period.
For his part, Foreign Minister Zarif thanked the congratulations of his Cuban counterpart and the efforts made by the ambassador to promote and strengthen the bilateral ties between Cuba and Iran, pointing out that relations between our two countries are strategic and we share common goals and interests in the international arena.
The Iranian minister said good-bye to the ambassador, wishing him many successes in the new responsibilities assigned to him upon his return to the homeland.
