Victoria, Feb 3 (Prensa Latina) The Seychelles Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Sylvestre Radegonde, ratified here today his country's support for Cuba's struggle for the end of the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade.

The Seychelles foreign minister reaffirmed his support for Cuba during a courtesy meeting with Deputy Minister of Culture Lizette Martinez, who is visiting the African nation.

According to diplomatic sources, on behalf of the Cuban authorities, the deputy minister expressed her gratitude for the historic position of Seychelles against the blockade.

In that regard, she stressed the significance of that support in the current circumstances in which the new U.S. administration of President Donald Trump is increasing the aggressiveness of the economic war and the hostile policy against the Cuban people.

Both sides highlighted the historic relations of friendship and cooperation between the two nations and the strong ties of collaboration and technical assistance in multiple sectors.

Cuban Ambassador Martha Hernandez and Tomas Mendez, Minister Counselor of the diplomatic mission, participated as part of the visiting delegation, which also included Dinorah Prieto, a specialist in arts education.
