New Delhi, February 8, 2017. During a cordial meeting of the Minister of State for External Affairs of India, H.E. Mr. M.J. Akbar with Ambassadors accredited in India, from the member countries of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), to learn more about our continent, the Cuban Ambassador Oscar Martinez Cordoves had the opportunity to greet and sustain a friendly exchange with the Minister, in the atmosphere of fraternity and collaboration that characterize bilateral relations.
At the meeting with GRULAC, the Minister referred to India's willingness to work together with Latin America to strengthen ties with the countries of the region and to develop exchange and cooperation within the framework of the permanent mechanism for political dialogue of CELAC's cooperation with India, adopted during the presence of the Quartet of Foreign Ministers of CELAC last year.
The Joint Secretary for Latin America and the Caribbean, H.E. Mr. Ashok Das, was also in the meeting among other ministry officials involved in the work of Latin America and the Caribbean. (Cubaminrex-Embacuba India).
