Sydney, 8th of November 2017. The flag of the lonely star was hissed this Sunday in Sydney Bay aboard the cruise ship SydneyPearl, in the framework of an activity organized by the Australian-Cuban Solidarity Association of West Sydney, with the support of the Cuban Embassy, to raise funds destined for the recovery of the island after the passage of Hurricane Irma.
During the day raffles were organized and tribute was paid to Che Guevara and the Great Latin American Homeland, with beautiful songs played by Chilean friends to the beat of a melodious charango.
The Australian-Cuban Solidarity Association of West Sydney was founded in 1990. Since then, they have accompanied and defended numerous causes in support of the Cuban Revolution, such as the liberation of the Five Heroes and the battle for the lifting of the economic and financial blockade imposed by the United States onto Cuba.
