General Consul of Cuba in Toronto holds meeting to expand the promotion of the Cuban culture in Canada.

Ottawa, March 31, 2022.- The General Consul of Cuba in Toronto held a fruitful meeting with Oscar Vigil, executive director of the Hispanic Canadian Heritage Council (HCHC) and Sophie Giraud, promoter of Cuban artists in Toronto.

The meeting laid the groundwork for future cultural projects that include visits by Cuban artists, such as writers and musicians to the city of Toronto during the year 2022 and, especially, during the Hispanic Heritage Month, to be held in October.

During the meeting, those present showed great interest in promoting Cuban culture in its different manifestations, including music, literature and film.

On the Cuban side, the interest in strengthening and expanding cultural projects was ratified, as well as continuing to develop the diffusion of Cuban cultural traditions in Canadian cities.
