The General Consulate of Cuba in Toronto holds the first virtual meeting with members of the Cuban community.

The General Consulate of Cuba in Toronto held June 14, the first virtual meeting with members of its community to talk about the new migration measures announced by Ernesto Soberón Guzmán, director of the DACCRE, the call for the 4th Conference on "The Nation and Emigration", and the activities that will take place at the Consulate with the participation of Cuban residents in Toronto.

During the meeting, homage was paid to Ernesto Che Guevara and Antonio Maceo on their birthdays anniversary. In addition, the videos on the call for the 4th Conference and Liuba María Hevia's song, “Valga que sé, valga que soy”, were screened.

The participants appreciated the space for an appropriate exchange, presented their initiatives for joint work, and expressed their satisfaction regarding the services provided and the treatment received at the Consulate, as well as their interest in participating in the initiatives proposed by the Consulate to increase the spaces for interaction among the members of the community.

The meeting was attended by Consul General Jorge Yanier Castellanos, Julio Fonseca, president of the Juan Gualberto Gómez Association of Cuban Residents in Toronto, and by members of the community and the Consulate.
