Belize, January 23, 2017. Gregory Vernon, Acting Director of the National Institute for Culture and History (NICH), an entity that rules the cultural and historical research policy under the Ministry of Culture, Education, Sports and Youth presented last Friday the 20th a plaque of recognition to the Ambassador of Cuba in Belize Lissette Perez in gesture of gratitude of the solidarity and cooperation from our country to Belize in different fields.
The presentation took place on the occasion of the event to celebrate the 58th anniversary of the Revolution at the House of Culture of this sister nation of Central America.
In his words, Mr. Vernon expressed that "Cuba is recognized as an essential element of the professional training of thousands of children of Belize, so the recognition given to the Embassy of Cuba is only an example of the appreciation and affection of the Belizeans towards the Cuban nation."
"We cannot miss such an important occasion to express to Cuba and its people the eternal gratitude that the people of the Caribbean and the world profess for the immeasurable signs of solidarity that it has always given to us.", concluded Mr. ::::: before a wide and multicolor audience composed by representatives of the most diverse sectors of the Belizean society.
