Governor-General of Australia receives the Ambassador of Cuba

Canberra, 2 February, 2023. H.E. David Hurley, Governor-General of Australia, received the Cuban Ambassador, Ariel Lorenzo Rodriguez, who will soon be completing his diplomatic mission in this country.

The meeting took place in a cordial and respectful atmosphere, which favored the exchange of views on the main issues of the bilateral agenda and the potential for continued cooperation in various fields.

The Governor-General expressed his wish for the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries. The Cuban ambassador, for his part, highlighted the favorable state of relations between the two governments and expressed his gratitude for Australia's support to Cuba on bilateral and multilateral matters.
