St George, June 28. At the close of the third session of the 54th Assembly of the Organization of American States in Paraguay, the Honorable Chancellor of Grenada Joseph Andall made his intervention in defense of democratic guarantees and cooperation in the region.
After addressing issues that afflict the Caribbean and proposing joint actions for their solution, he was heard firmly demanding an end to injustices against the Cuban people, saying:
“The economic and financial blockade against Cuba has cost ordinary people immense suffering. It is time to end this inhumane policy and allow Cuba to prosper without the limitations of an economic blockade. We reiterate our call for the elimination of Cuba from the arbitrary list of State sponsors of terrorism and any other injustice that hinders its development and reintegration into the regional and global communities.”
Thank you to the Grenada government for once again raising your voice in support of Cuba, thank you for standing on the fair and correct side of history, in a scenario in which many lies are presented as truth and few have the honesty to tell the truth and hail what is fair.
