Guyana and Cuba work together to increase trade and investment

Georgetown, April 5, 2018. The Executive Director of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), Mr. Richard Rambarran, held a meeting with the Ambassador of Cuba, Narciso R. Amador Socorro, with the objective of advancing in the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the GCCI and the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba, signed on October 31, 2017 during the XXXV Edition of the International Fair of Havana (FIHAV 2017).  

The Ambassador reiterated the invitation of Mr. Orlando Hernández Guillén, President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba to Mr. Deodat Indar, President of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to participate in the XXXVI Edition of the Fair (FIHAV 2018), which will take place from October 29 to November 2, 2018, in his usual space of EXPOCUBA. 

The Cuban diplomat requested the support of the GCCI Georgetown and in particular, its Executive Director, Mr. Richard Rambarran, in order to achieve a broad participation of Guyanese entrepreneurs in FIHAV 2018.
