Monrovia, June 22, 2021 - A few hours before the vote at the United Nations, the Cuban Head of Mission in Liberia Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera made statements to friends of Cuba and the media condemning and repudiating the U.S. blockade of the largest of the Antilles.
The Cuban diplomat explained the arguments of the denunciation against the blockade that the Cuban government will present tomorrow before the United Nations General Assembly.
The head of Mission indicated that in spite of the two pandemics Cuba has had to face, the ingenuity and perseverance of our scientists have not been able to block them, and referred to the fact that the Cuban vaccine candidates Abdala and Soberana 02 presented an effectiveness of 62% and 92.28%, which more than vaccines, represent the effort of a whole country, of a whole people, which is another success of the Cuban Revolution in the midst of the brutal blockade of which it is a victim.
