INFORMATION NOTE 01/2020 Embassy of Cuba in Namibia

Given the growing and accelerated expansion of SARS CoV 2 / Covid-19, it has been decided to adopt the following measures on a temporary basis, which will take effect from March 19, 2020.

• Cuban citizens close to completing 24 months of uninterrupted stay abroad, will not need to request extensions from March 19, 2020 and may remain outside Cuba until further notice, maintaining their status as Permanent Residents in the national territory.
• The accomplishment of consular procedures at a distance will be promoted, with previous coordination with the Consular Office via telephone or email. Soon, the details of the account of the Embassy of Cuba in Namibia at the First National Bank will be informed, which can be used to pay consular fees.
