Riyadh, January 17th - As part of a regional tour, the Cuban delegation headed by the president of the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources (INRH), Eng. Antonio Rodriguez Rodriguez, concluded a brief but successful working visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, that took place from January 14th to 16th, 2023.
During the stay in Riyadh, the delegation was received by Mr. Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, executive president of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD). Working sessions with this institution were held in order to review the bilateral projects with the INRH and other Cuban institutions, within the framework of the fruitful collaboration between the Island and the Kingdom.
The delegation also took this opportunity to exchange with other representatives of the government and private sectors in Saudi Arabia, such as the Al-Bawani Group and the Hydraulic City factory, which have expressed interest in establishing business and investment relations with Cuba.
To round off the visit, the INRH’s president was received by the deputy minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Waleed bin Abdul Karim Al-Khureiji, an occasion in which the will of the high Saudi authorities to maintain and strengthen bilateral collaboration ties was ratified.
In this regional tour, the Cuban delegation made its first stop in Saudi Arabia and will continue to the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Algeria. (EmbaCuba Saudi Arabia)
