Iranian university students pay homage to Fidel

Students at Imam Sadegh University in Teheran paid tribute to the memory of the Cuban Revolution's historic leader, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz. The Cuban Ambassador Vladimir Gonzalez Quesada was between the speakers at the event. Heads of missions and diplomats from other ALBA-TCP member countries represented in the Persian nation, attended as guests.

 

In front of a massive attendance of student and religious organizations, prominent in the political-ideological work of the Iranian Islamic Revolution, Ahmad Sobhani, diplomat and former Iranian ambassador to Venezuela; Abdolhamid Shahrabi, executive of the House of Latin America (HOLA); and Prof. Hassan Rahimpour Azghadi, member of the Supreme Council of the Iranian Cultural Revolution, also addressed the audience.

 

In his speech, Ambassador González Quesada gave an overview of the important socio-economic achievements of the Cuban Revolution thanks to the genius of Fidel and the will of our people. He affirmed that the best way to pay homage to his memory is to fulfill our sacred duty to defend the Revolution and to continue the legacy and example of its historical leader.

 

The diplomat greeted the 58th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution, which will be celebrated with joy and optimism next January 1st. He also acknowledged the homage paid by Imam Sadegh University and ratified the will of the Cuban people and government to continue strengthening ties with the heroic Iranian people.
