Ministry of Information and Communication of Vietnam, in coordination with the Cuban Embassy in Hanoi, launched a joint collection of Vietnam-Cuba postage stamps, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between both nations.
The set includes two models of stamps, designed by the painter To Minh Trang of the Vietnam Post Corporation, and Roberto Menéndez Roiz of Correos de Cuba, and represent the Castle of Santo Domingo de Atarés (Cuba) and the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long (Vietnam).
These two postal pieces are a new means of knowledge and cultural exchange between our countries on such a significant date that, like today, marks the beginning of special ties of friendship, said Pham Anh Tuan, Deputy Minister of Information and Vietnam Communications.
Cuban ambassador, Lianys Torres Rivera, pointed out that these relationships are as solid and enduring as the strengths represented on the stamps.
