Port of Spain, August 15, 2023. This morning, the donation of copies of books in Spanish made by the José Martí National Library (BNJM) was delivered to the National Library and Information System of Trinidad and Tobago (NALIS ) as part of the actions carried out after the signing last July of a Memorandum of Understanding between both institutions.
Among the books donated are Volumes I and II of the Obra Poética by Nicolás Guillen, Cuba's national poet, and the book "Ese sol del mundo moral" by Cintio Vitier, Cuban poet, narrator, literary critic and essayist, the most important scholar of the work of the National Hero of Cuba, José Martí. The books were delivered by the Cuban Ambassador, Tania Diego Olite, representing the BNJM to Ms. Paula Greene, Executive Director of NALIS.
