"La Edad de Oro" in Mongolian language, homage to Commander in Chief Fidel Castro.

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. November 27, 2017. A new edition of "La Edad de Oro" by José Martí was the tribute made in Ulan Bator to the first anniversary of the physical disappearance of the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz. The ceremony for donation of this book written for children by our National Hero José Martí took place at the School No. 52 of the Mongolian capital that bears his name, and was attended by Nambar Enkhbayar, General Secretary of the The Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party (PPRM), the Ambassadors of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Laos, as well as the Association of Spanish Language Graduates of the National University of Mongolia. Also participating were Khamba Lama, President of the Mongolia - Cuba Friendship Association and officials of the Department of America, Middle East and Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia.

At the opening words of the ceremony, Cuban Ambassador Raúl Delgado Concepción highlighted the validity of José Martí's thought through the life and work of the Commander of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, for Cuba and the world. With heartfelt words to the children present in the activity, the Cuban Ambassador related how Martí's thought and ideology served as a guide for the materialization of the independence and self-determination of the Cuban people. Its political guidelines served as the basis for the consecration of Cuban nationality and the struggles of our people to achieve true independence, guided for more than half a century by this man of the people, political genius, thinker, intellectual, and father of many generations of Cubans, Fidel Castro Ruz. The Ambassador affirmed that today, more than ever, Fidel lives in the hearts of all Cubans who will be faithful followers of his work, which undoubtedly constituted the best disciple of José Marti.

For his part, the Secretary General of the PPRM N. Enkhbayar on his words untangled passages of the life of Fidel whom he met personally during some of his trips to Cuba when he served as President and Prime Minister of Mongolia. In his moving words about the work of José Martí, he encouraged young people to study these two great personalities of universal history who made great contributions to humanity through their thoughts and actions.

Translated into the Mongolian language in 1982, by the former Ambassador and Mongolian diplomat B. Chuluum, who lived and worked in Cuba for many years, "La Edad de Oro"  was reprinted so that young people in the library of School No 52 have access to this important source of knowledge and human values ​​written by José Martí in 1889.
