Liberia actively rejects the US blockade against Cuba.

Monrovia, May 29, 2021 - Members of the Liberia-Cuba solidarity group were protagonists, this morning, of a caravan for the lifting of the economic, commercial and financial sanctions and other restrictions that affect Cuban families inside and outside the island.

As part of the Unblock Cuba campaign, the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association organized a small caravan that started at 10:00 local time and traveled from VOA Community, RIA Highway, Paynesville to Congotown.

The head of the diplomatic mission, Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera, greeted the participants in this solidarity activity against the blockade of Cuba and thanked them for their accompaniment and support to Cuba in its struggle against the genocidal blockade.

The solidarity internationalism always demonstrated by Cuba, and recently also experienced in different countries of the world in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, now needs our support, said the president of the friendship organization Kesselee King Kanneh when addressing the participants in this solidarity action.

This event coincides with a new world day of solidarity with the island to reject the genocidal U.S. siege that already extends for more than six decades against the Cuban people.
