Monrovia, April 5, 2021.- Our diplomatic mission received the visit of Mr. William Wesseh, directive member of the Liberia-Cuba friendship group and Liberian graduated in the largest of the Antilles.
In their exchange with the head of mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera, both referred to the events in Cuba, a country that the supportive friend considers as his second homeland.
The occasion was propitious to reject another infamous US report accusing the Antillean island of alleged violations of Human Rights. Mr. Wesseh condemned this new aggression by Washington against Cuba, alleging that our island is internationally recognized for its human solidarity, unlike its powerful neighbor to the north, considering the U.S. the biggest violator of Human Rights in the world.
He also reiterated the support of the Liberia-Cuba friendship group for the actions being carried out to demand the immediate cessation of the tight economic, commercial and financial siege imposed by the U.S. on the Caribbean archipelago in the midst of the Covid19 pandemic.
