Liberia-Cuba solidarity group congratulates Cuban people and government on the occasion of National Rebellion Day.

Monrovia, July 26, 2024 - This afternoon, members of the Liberia-Cuba solidarity group joined the Cuban Embassy in that West African country to commemorate one of the most important days in the history of Cuba, the Day of National Rebellion, a date that marked the beginning of the final stage of the struggles for independence.

On this day of celebration for all Cubans, the friends of solidarity congratulated the government and people of Cuba, a country that educated and welcomed many Liberians who attended free courses.

The occasion was propitious to condemn the attempts of the U.S. government to subvert the internal order of the Greater of the Antilles by tightening the economic, commercial and financial blockade that has lasted for more than 60 long years.

They also, once again, added their voices to those who demand the exclusion of Cuba from the list of countries that sponsor terrorism, a unilateral list totally manipulated by the US, a country that promotes, finances and allows people who commit terrorist acts against Cuba to act.

They pointed out that Cuba, the country that trained many of the members of this association, is an active sponsor of international solidarity, the right to health, education, and peace.
